CERSOSIMO

I have been a Sound Engineer for over 25 years. My career began as a musician playing electric guitar in local bands; however, when I stepped into a professional studio for the first time I fell in love with the craft of music engineering.

After attending audio recording courses I began my engineering career recording jingles and local bands. Years later I decided to move to NYC to continue my studies at S.A.E (School of Audio Engineering). After graduating I began working at one of the top studios in New York City, Skyline Studios. There I had the opportunity to work with independent and mainstream artists while also assisting top producers and engineers.

During my 5 years at Skyline I was involved in recording artists such as Steely Dan, Avril Lavigne, They Might Be Giants, David Byrne and many others.

In 2005 I moved back to Brazil to take advantage of new opportunities there. During this period I had the chance to engineer and produce artists for labels such as Sony, EMI, and Universal as well as Independent artists.

Several albums I've worked on in Brazil went gold and received nominations and awards for the Latin Grammy. Recently, I have become a voting member for the US and Latin Grammys.

For almost 8 years I worked at my studio in Sao Paulo where I had a SSL 4000 G Console and several vintage outboards. I also had the opportunity to attend several seminars in the South of France mentored by top mixers such as Michael Brauer, Tchad Blake, Andy Wallace, Chris Lord-Alge, and Sylvia Massy.

At the end of this period working in Brazil, I had the honor to work with Paul McCartney, recording some tracks for his most recent album, Egypt Station. The album received two TEC Award nominations.

In 2018 I returned to NY. Currently I am part of the outstanding team at CTS studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
